






Lucia Quiñonez is a graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso. She attained a bachelors degree in multimedia journalism with a creative writing minor on December 2013.
Even though she is able to work on a wide range of topics she is interested on local issues, immigration, environmental, and education reporting.
She is able to contribute as print/online reporter, and as a photojournalist.
She previously interned at Newspaper Tree, a non-profit online news organization and was a reporter for Borderzine, UTEP’s student online magazine.
Quinonez understands the business aspect of media. In the past, she worked at the El Paso Times and El Diario of El Paso, in advertisement and circulation.
She is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ).
She plans to pursue a master’s degree in the near future.
